Day Two
As I’ve said, my adventures in Japan start before I can even leave. Today, Indiana University at Bloomington has informed IUPUI that I can’t leave for Japan till September. The lady at our study abroad office wouldn’t even give me the name of the person I need to talk to down at IUB. If studying is as much mental work as getting there is turning out to be, my brain will be alive for the first time in years.
Though right now, it seems like everyone is giving up on me and Helen going to Japan this month. I am not going to accept defeat easily. I am working on getting assistance from members of IUPUI faculty to help me in this fight.
